I once heard that CSS makes no sense, and we should get rid of it (in a software company). So, your mention regarding encapsulation is completely true. Unfortunately, many people don't pay enough attention to good practices and correctly structure the CSS.

Regarding accessibility, that's an excellent point! I'm very interested in that topic because every human being should be able to use a website properly. I will explore it better because, as you mention, introducing custom tags that are not part of the standard is a challenge.
